How to Apply
If you are a Charity, Voluntary or Third Sector organisation (charity, community group, CICs) working with economically inactive/unemployed people aged 16+, with multiple and complex barriers to accessing Further Education, Training and Employment, you can apply for a grant of up to £20k to deliver a project that:
- Provides intensive support to help upskill participants and move towards and enter work
- Engage participants who are the hardest to reach through innovative approaches
- Projects who can engage participants who are aged 50+, those with Disabilities and/or Learning Difficulties, Ethnic Minorities, and are Female
Each organisation must specify its delivery Local Authority Area (Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Sunderland and Northumberland). Multiple applications can be made if you wish to deliver in more than one area, to a maximum of 3 applications. Your organisation must have access to a base in the locatlity you wish to deliver from, and participants must reside in that area.
As part of the application process, Organisations must include details of their intended participants, their individual needs and barriers to learning. You will be expected to state how you will ensure your participants meet one or more of the priority groups, how your planned delivery meets the needs of those of the local area. You will include how you plan to progress participants into further learning or employment, and the expected support needed to do this.

It will also be helpful to have a copy of the application form with you when you attend a webinar.
